Don’t know if I’ve shared this yet, but my family has moved from my hometown in Hoffman Estates, IL (a suburb of Chicago), to Grove City, OH (near Columbus).
This doesn’t really affect me since I spend most of my time in college, but I am home right now in my family’s new house for winter break :).
Since I’m usually pretty busy during the school year, I really want to get some music work done over break. At Cornell, we have a pretty lengthy break actually (over 5 weeks). Hopefully I can get a lot done in that time, while also spending some time relaxing with family and friends.
Currently, I’m prepping a space in the house for top-notch recording quality (yay, for audiophilism!). Anyhow, I thought I’d share with you all some pics of the “studio” space. It’s pretty ghetto (or so I think).
It’s a bit hard to tell from the pictures, but basically I’ve taken a decently-sized closet and cut it in half by inserting a “wall” of cardboard boxes (something of which my family is in no shortage) in the center. On one side of the wall is the mic surrounded by six home-made acoustic panels and on the other side is a space for my laptop and audio interface.
Hope this makes someone smile.
Happy Holidays everyone :)!
My free stuff page was looking a little empty, so I decided to add something. You are now able to download a free Mp3 of “Edge” (the entire song)!
This is my way of saying thanks to everyone who has listened to my music, and I may be releasing more free songs in the future.
Of course, if you enjoy the song, please recommend it to your friends! It would help me out tremendously. Also, a higher quality version of the mp3 is available from the order page on my site for just a dollar.
Just a very quick update:
My CDs arrived on September 1st, as scheduled. They look great, and I am very excited to begin selling them! If you enjoy my music, please consider buying a copy at my order page.
A lot of people have asked me if my music is on iTunes or Amazon. Unfortunately, my songs are not yet listed on those sites. However, I am working on getting my music into those stores as soon as possible.
Well, I just got word from my manufacturer that the 100 CDs I ordered have shipped! They should be arriving on Wednesday, and I can’t wait to get my hands on them.
I’ve also bought some corrugated CD shipping boxes to ensure that anyone who orders online will receive their CD in good condition.
Other random updates:
-Added an option on the order page to buy all of the album’s mp3s in one click.
-Created a new image for the homepage. Mostly to help emphasize the release of my album.
-Credit cards are now accepted as a payment method. Previously, I had only the ability to accept paypal payments.
That’s about it for now. Stay tuned for more news.
After giving this months of thought, I think I’ve finally decided on an album title — “Breath Before Impact.” Let me know what you think!
